Surly Cretin

Image
The prompt was "a surly little cretin" and the result was...

Sticker Fun

Image
Today I see that my Android phone has AI to generate stickers. Easy and fun.

Spirit of the Geodgnome

Wrong Way

Image
All cars appear to be traveling down route 66 and going in the same direction. Yikes. And look at this closeup of the T-Bird driver. Is he playing a kazoo, or did his lips fuze together?

AI Crazy

Image
A man who is so bored with ai that it is making him crazy, make it stop!

Two Butterflies

Image
 A duo of butterflies.

Octopus City

Image
A whimsical undersea city guarded by a large octopus.

Bad Fossil Build

Image
I read an article about the Magdeburg Unicorn" which was a famous failed reconstruction of bones found in Germany.   https://www.snopes.com/articles/441423/magdeburg-unicorn/ The AI doesn't know what that looks like, but it did make a nice unicorn skeleton for me.

Scroll Sojourn

Image
An Arabian Wizard an his pet cat ride a large magic scroll under sail towards the heavens.

Spider Woman

Image
Figured out I could add "signed by kiyotei" to the prompt and it will add my signature. Sometimes it spells it wrong, but it gets it right more often than not.

Smashing

Image
The text in this image was not in the prompt. But I like it. Seems like a good name for a company or fashion line. MODKO!

Bear Nessesities

Image
Only you can prevent the Apocalypse. After playing around with different ideas today, this is as close as I got to a good result. All of my other prompts failed miserably. This crazy curly haired bruin is supposed to look a bit like Smokey Bear. I can't say I achieved that result, but here you go:

Permanent Record

Image
There's one thing that PhotoRoom does so well. I can take a picture of anything and it will cut out the background and then you can add a new one. Sometimes it glitches a bit (like the backside of the gatefold sleeve) but you can even edit the cutout if you are willing. I just wanted a quick photo, so I ignored the missing album edge. I then choose a sunlight reflection on brass. I like the way it compliments the first red vinyl and red record player. Here's the original photo:

Side By Side

Image
And now for something completely different... "Brussel sprouts and mixed soda in vibrant watercolor." Ideogram Bing Copilot

No Smoking

Image
I guess that smoking is a no-no prompt on Bing Copilot, because that's the only word that kinda makes sense. I changed it to smoky and then it was not a problem.  Here's the error message... And the original prompt was  "a native American elder with white hair and face paint in teepee and a smudge kit with eagle feather, smoking white sage, abalone shell, Palo Santo, and a crystal charm, kit is inside abalone shell, white bison in background."

Vibrant Viking

Image
A closeup of a fierce Viking warrior. I really like the way this paint splatter effect turned out.

Plain Profanity

Image
AI is great for making quick images for memes. I say this great quote while reading a web article on the history of cuss words.  So I used a prompt for Mark Twain swearing, and this is what I got. I especially like the vibrant background.

Boombox Time Machine

Image
Take the Electric Boogaloo through time with this Crystal Time Machine!  Just put the cardboard to the pavement and bust a few moves. Wait for the wormhole and dance right in.  Come on every beat box. We got  Rammellzee  !

Prompt Blocked

Image
So it's not hard to get a "Prompt Blocked" message from Copilot when you use words that the machine is programmed not to allow.  I've found that Ideogram is a lot more forgiving. For example, I never could have made this image using the prompt I did if I was using Copilot..... Just typing the word "sexy" will get you in trouble. And you will see the boring warning: Even the Ideogram warning is cooler: Ideogram wins this round!

Big Guns

Image
One of the many things that AI has a problem with (besides adding or removing fingers) is making very strange machines and tools.  This short prompt produced a very nice composition: "wounded desperado hiding in an arrojo in death valley"  If you don't look too hard at the desperado's gun that is. What a hand cannon! * For comparison, here's what the same prompt created on Ideogram: I like this pic much better. Also Ideogram has a selection of different sizes, so you can produce images in portrait and landscape too. Unlike Copilot which can only do 1:1 images.

Born 2 Ride

Image
A calico cat and a French bulldog hit the backroads through red rock canyons in search of adventure and a good taco.

Snakety Snake

Image
I really like the results of this prompt. A two-headed feathered serpent with a pink vole, in south western native American Indian pottery designs.

Ideogram for Idiots

Image
There's a new AI image generator called Ideogram . I did a little testing on it this morning. So far, I'm pleasantly surprised. It has a cool feature called  "Prompt Magic," which can be turned on and off. This feature analyzes your prompt and will enhance it by adding more descriptive text. It results in images of better quality.  It still failed my personal test of returning an image of an 8-track tape player shaped like a dynamite plunger. I've tried all the AI machines and they all fail the test. What's so hard about an 8-track tape player? I requested one shaped like a plastic monkey and I liked the results even if it isn't an 8-track.  There is a very limited amount of images you can generate each day, but the pay tier of $7 a month seems pretty reasonable.  Another plus for  Ideogram is that it is much less aggressively censored than MidJourney and Dall-E 3. It is capable of generating images of famous people, company logos, and art styles.  One day...

Mushroom Martians

Image
Tall grey men in spacesuits with rayguns and mushroom helmets. Grab the popcorn, this is an old school B-movie horror show. They came from outer space and taste good on spaghetti.

Robot Mugshot

Image
Sometimes I just put a bunch of random words to see how the AI will handle them. This morning I entered "vision damage photos changing lanes crosstown latin dance" and it produced this crazy-cool robotic face.  Not sure what any of those words have to do with this image, but I dig the result.

Oasis Bound

Image
I'm reading an excellent book about the French colonization of the Sahara called Conquest of the Sahara by Douglas Porch. I'm almost finished and I'm reading about how they are trying to control the Tuareg people. They are the nomadic tribes who live in the desert. So far, it hasn't been easy, because the Tuareg are good fighters and good at disappearing.  So I asked AI for some images of a Tuareg and camel in the Sahara desert. This is one of the best pictures that it conjured up.

Swamp Banjo

Image
A little banjo pickin' music for a morning in the swamp. Spanish moss is hanging from the trees, Paul Bunyon sized gallinippers, and the smell of a thousand rotten eggs.  Watch out for the gators! Up On Cripple Creek
